Affiliation
So, i mentioned this idea a week or so back and to my surprise it’s taken off on a number other Disney tumblrs and sadly left FYPocahontas lacking behind!
I just thought i’d make a post defining what affiliation is as i’ve had some people message me about it.
Affiliation means that you create links between related sites, so in this case Disney related. If you have agreed to affiliate with a site then you must display a link to that site on your Tumblr main page and vice versa. It must be clear and not hidden, as the purpose is to promote your fellow sites not try and hide them away!
So what do you get out of affiliation? I think Yiukenduit of FY Clopin Trouillefou has described it quite accurately: “Its purpose is to show partnership between other Disney tumblr blogs, as well as to bring some recognition to other Disney tumbr blogs who are not as well known in the Tumblr community as others.” It’s basically free advertising and all you need to do is link back :]
